Arab World’s First 6G Network Goes Live in Dubai — 100x Faster Than 5G

Date:

DUBAI — Dubai has made telecommunications history by launching the Arab world’s first commercial 6G network, achieving real-world data speeds 100 times faster than current 5G technology.

The network is currently live across a 15-square-kilometre zone in downtown Dubai, with full city-wide coverage expected within three years. At peak speeds exceeding one terabit per second, 6G opens the door to real-time holographic communication, cloud robotics, and seamless augmented reality at city scale.
