Corrections & Clarifications

Last updated: 7 June 2026

Our Editorial Commitment to Accuracy

Gulf Times Now LLC is committed to the highest standards of accuracy, fairness, and transparency in all journalism published on gulftimesnow.com. We hold ourselves accountable to our readers, our sources, and the broader public interest. We recognise that errors can occur in the course of fast-paced news reporting, and we take our responsibility to correct the record seriously and promptly. This policy sets out how Gulf Times Now LLC handles corrections, clarifications, and updates to published content.

Definitions

For the purposes of this policy:

  • A correction is issued when a published article contains a material factual inaccuracy — including errors in names, dates, figures, statistics, titles, direct quotations, or statements of fact.
  • A clarification is issued when published content, while not factually incorrect, may have conveyed a misleading impression that warrants additional context or explanation.
  • An update is appended to an article to reflect significant new developments in an ongoing story that post-date original publication.

Our Approach to Corrections

Gulf Times Now LLC does not delete published articles or silently amend content to conceal errors. Any substantive change to a published article is clearly disclosed to readers with an editor’s note indicating the nature of the amendment and the date on which it was made. This practice reflects our commitment to transparency and our respect for the historical record of public interest journalism.

Corrections are appended to the relevant article as soon as they are confirmed. Where a correction is of significant public interest, a standalone corrections notice may also be published on gulftimesnow.com. We maintain an internal log of all corrections issued to support ongoing editorial review.

How to Report an Error

Readers, subjects of coverage, and members of the public are encouraged to bring potential errors to our attention. To submit a correction request, please contact the Gulf Times Now editorial team at:

corrections@gulftimesnow.com

To help us process your request efficiently, please include the following information:

  • The full URL of the article you believe contains an error;
  • The specific passage, figure, or statement you believe is inaccurate;
  • Supporting evidence, documentation, or source material for the proposed correction;
  • Your full name and contact details (these will not be published).

Review Process & Timeline

All correction requests are reviewed by a senior editor. We aim to acknowledge receipt within one business day and to complete our review within three business days. Where a factual error is confirmed, we will issue a correction at the earliest opportunity. More complex matters — including those with legal dimensions, disputes over primary sources, or claims requiring independent verification — may take additional time to resolve.

We communicate the outcome of all substantive correction reviews directly to the person who submitted the request.

Editorial Independence in Corrections

Gulf Times Now LLC does not alter or remove editorial content at the request of commercial partners, advertisers, public relations agencies, or any party with a financial interest in the coverage. Our corrections process is strictly editorially independent. Requests to amend accurate content for reputational, commercial, or political reasons will not be entertained.

Legal Notices & Rights of Reply

If your enquiry relates to a legal matter — including defamation, privacy rights, or a right of reply under UAE press and publications law — please direct your correspondence to legal@gulftimesnow.com. Gulf Times Now LLC takes all legal notices seriously and will respond in accordance with applicable UAE legislation, including Media Regulatory Office guidelines and relevant federal regulations.

Editorial Standards

Our editorial team is committed to independent verification of sources, responsible reporting on sensitive subjects, and the clear separation of news from opinion. Readers with broader concerns about our editorial standards are welcome to contact our Editor-in-Chief at editor@gulftimesnow.com.
