Kuwait has produced some of the GCC’s most recognisable consumer brands. The country’s retail and F&B entrepreneurs in particular have demonstrated a remarkable ability to build concepts that resonate regionally. Several Kuwaiti F&B groups now operate hundreds of outlets across the Middle East and North Africa.
In tech, Kuwaiti startups are making noise in e-commerce, logistics, and digital payments. The country’s high smartphone penetration and tech-savvy youth population make it an ideal testing ground for digital innovation.
Kuwait’s entrepreneurs are candid about the challenges they face: a regulatory environment that can be slow to adapt, a cultural preference for established names over new entrants, and a talent market that competes with generous government salaries.
